How much can change in a couple of generations! Ingo Gerhartz was born in 1965, twenty years after the end of the Second World War. He is a career German Air Force lieutenant general (Generalleutnant). He has served as the Inspector of the Luftwaffe since 2018.
Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz met with his Israeli counterpart and expressed support for Air Force operations to eradicate Hamas in Gaza. He and his staff donated blood in the Sheba Medical Center.
Just think, the son or daughter of a Holocaust Surveyor could receive blood of a German officer. Sea changes such as this must give us hope for the future.
